Climate and soil requirement
Guava is successfully grown in tropical and subtropical climate, It is hardy, which can be grown in various types of soils including shallow, medium black and alkaline soil. The quality of the fruits is better in areas having distinct winters, Mature trees of most varities are fairly cold-hardy and can survive temperatures slightly colder than −4 °C (25 °F) for short periods of time, but younger plants will likely freeze to the ground.
