Scientific Name: Artocarpus integer
Common Name: Chempedak
Climate and soil requirement
Cempedak trees are normally planted in non-eroded and well-drained soils, although they can tolerate temporary flooding. Cempedak can be grown from sea level to 1,200 metres (3,900 ft) altitude at temperatures between 13–47 °C (55–117 °F) and with annual rainfall of 1,250–2,500 millimetres (49–98 in)
Land preperation
Planting is done during the rainy season, Ideal spacing is 10×10 meters or 12×12 meters. Avoid planting too close because when the trees grow, they won’t get enough space to branch out, This can result in reduction in yield.
